An installation of 16 controlled atmosphere storage rooms. Two Secondary Refrigeration Chillers were used incorporating Hydro Carbon refrigerant and a non toxic, food safe brine fluid. The atmosphere in all rooms is controlled by an ICA61 control system managing the operation of two Van Amerongen CO2 scrubbers and a single VPSA nitrogen generator, resulting in effective long term storage. The complete installation was managed using in house refrigeration, electrical and CA labour.
An installation of 2, 96 ton ‘stand alone’ controlled atmosphere storage rooms. Each room is cooled by a Frascold semi hermetic condensing unit on refrigerant 404a allied to floor mounted tower coolers.
DJ Moors are a grower of ‘organic fruit’ whose specific brief was for an eco-friendly, low energy usage refrigeration system to control their 12 x 101 tonne controlled atmosphere rooms. The installation of a secondary refrigeration system utilising Hydro Carbon refrigerant and non toxic, food safe brine has more than exceeded expectation.
The atmosphere is controlled by an ICA61 control system managing a Van Amerongen CO2 scrubber and VPSA nitrogen generator.
